FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Austin, TX — Monday, October 14, 2024 Richard A. Tagle, president and executive director of E3 Alliance, has been honored as a fellow in the EdRedesign Fellowship for Cradle-to-Career Partnership Leaders. As part of the inaugural cohort, Tagle will collaborate with 21 other fellows under the guidance of The EdRedesign Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

This esteemed fellowship brings together a diverse group of executive directors, who are relatively new to leading place-based partnerships, and senior leaders from organizations committed to advancing cradle-to-career initiatives across different sectors and communities. The cohort includes leaders from urban, suburban, and rural backgrounds, contributing a wealth of experience and perspectives.

“Being named one of 22 fellows in the EdRedesign Fellowship for Cradle to Career is not just an honor; it’s a commitment to creating an equitable foundation for every child’s journey. Together, we will reimagine education to empower every learner from their first steps to their life’s greatest leap,” said Tagle

The EdRedesign Fellowship focuses on practical, real-world applications and developed with national leaders such as Partners for Rural Impact, Purpose Built Communities, StriveTogether, and the William Julius Wilson Institute at Harlem Children’s Zone.

Fellowship participants will enhance their skills in the following areas:

  1. Building effective, equitable partnerships aimed at improving conditions for communities affected by racism, poverty, and disinvestment.
  2. Developing cross-sector strategies and cradle-to-career models tailored to their local communities.
  3. Making informed decisions based on data and prioritizing the voices of youth and families in their efforts.
  4. Leveraging their expertise and personal strengths to lead impactful community work.
  5. Aligning human, financial, and technical resources to meet community-level goals.
  6. Leading and motivating partners toward collective objectives, overcoming challenges along the way.

The cohort’s diversity reflects a cross-section of approaches and insights, fostering collaborative strategies to advance opportunities for children and young people nationwide.

This is Tagle’s second fellowship accolade; he recently completed the Rockwood Leadership Institute PN-3 Power Building Fellowship.

The EdRedesign Fellowship was made possible by a $2.5 million implementation grant from the Ballmer Group, alongside contributions from the Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean’s Impact Fund, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, and several planning grants. Other support included the Barr Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Schwartz Family Foundation, and The Linda G.
