Equity

We believe in creating equitable systems. Everyone should have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of race, ethnicity, language, ability, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic standing, family background, or any social construct.

We will…

  • work to transform inequitable systems by identifying, developing, and amplifying policies and practices that provide each student what they need to succeed.
  • use data to identify, learn from, and scale bright spots to address systemic inequities in outcomes between student populations.
  • extend the definition of equity, defining it as an asset that goes beyond access and numerical representation, to include beliefs, policies, and practices that guide how we build systems to support student success.
  • actively build a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment where all views are welcomed, openness is encouraged, and teamwork is a cornerstone.
  • continuously examine our roles, both as individuals and an organization, in perpetuating inequitable systems so that we can contribute to equitable ones.
