E3 Alliance Appoints Priscilla Flores to Director of Policy

AUSTIN, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 – E3 Alliance, a nationally recognized, data-driven education collaborative and solutions provider in Central Texas, announced today that it has appointed Priscilla Flores as Director of Policy.

“We are pleased to promote Priscilla Flores to this position,” said President and Executive Director Richard A. Tagle. “She will shape our policy agenda and communicate our mission to internal and external stakeholders. As we advocate for change, Priscilla will ensure that equitable and excellent education systems remain the foundation of our policy decisions.”

Mrs. Flores previously served as the policy analyst for E3 Alliance but has worked in many educational roles throughout Texas in her 28-year career. Her passion for empowering students and advocating for equitable education opportunities led her to transition into many different roles over the years, giving her a broad impact.

“I am thrilled to take the helm and lead our E3 Alliance policy work,” said Priscilla Flores. “I look forward to driving impactful change and shaping our organization’s strategic policy direction with enthusiasm and dedication.”

Mrs. Flores began her career as a secondary-level educator, where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges within the education system.

Her tenure as the Gear UP state director at the Institute for School and University Partnerships within the Texas A&M University System was a turning point in her career. Her focus on college readiness and access for underserved communities led her team to establish the first P-16 education council in Texas, igniting her passion for policy work.

As the senior policy advisor at the Texas Education Agency, Mrs. Flores was instrumental in shaping education policies that aligned best practices to student needs. She oversaw high-priority projects that administered hundreds of millions of dollars in state and federal education initiatives. This included alternative education reforms, initiatives to support student safety, educator strategic compensation and performance programs related to educator recruitment, educator preparation, professional development, educator evaluation systems, and overall program quality.

She holds a master’s degree in educational administration and a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
