E3 Resolution

AUSTIN, TX – May 4, 2026 — State Rep. Donna Howard, D-Austin, has issued a formal resolution honoring E3 Alliance’s leadership and lasting contributions to improving education systems for all students. Howard, a longtime champion for public education, presented the resolution to E3 Alliance Founder and President Emeritus Susan Dawson at the organization’s 20th anniversary celebration on Friday, May 1, at the Line Hotel in downtown Austin, along with a commemorative Texas flag flown over the Capitol dome.

“For the last 20 years, E3 Alliance has influenced and changed public education policy in Texas, and our state and our community are better for it,” Howard said.

The resolution honors E3 Alliance’s achievements since its founding in 2006. The nonpartisan nonprofit uses data and cross-sector collaboration to drive transformational change on the regional, state, and national levels.

The resolution recognizes major E3 Alliance accomplishments over the last two decades, “including the Kick the Flu and Missing School Matters campaigns, which have helped to foster increased student attendance in Central Texas school districts.”

The measure also highlights the organization’s role in advancing Senate Bill 2124, a 2023 Texas law that expands student access to rigorous math courses in middle school. Howard, who sponsored the bipartisan bill in the Texas House, said she is “especially grateful to this organization for ensuring that we are not leaving children behind that might have been left behind otherwise.”

E3 Alliance’s progress reflects the collective effort of partners across the region, including school districts, institutions of higher education, community organizations, students, families, researchers, policymakers, and business leaders. The organization also thanks its 20th anniversary sponsors, Texas Capital, Ascension, H-E-B, and Susser Bank, for helping make the celebration possible.
