School Districts Set Regional CCMR Goals
E3 Alliance leads the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Impact Coalition for our partner districts
E3 Alliance leads the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Impact Coalition for our partner districts. Together we align goals, resources, and strategies to maximize earning potential from Texas House Bill 3, a historic school finance bill passed in 2019. A component of HB3 centers on learning and improving student outcomes in the area of CCMR. This includes an outcomes bonus, Career and Technology Education funding, support for industry-based certifications, and FAFSA completion.
During the coalition’s summer workshop, leaders from Austin, Del Valle, Elgin, Hays, Lake Travis, Leander, Manor, and Taylor school districts developed a regional goal that all Central Texas student groups meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) criteria in each tested subject will increase 5 percent by the end of July 2023. TSI determines a student’s readiness for college-level coursework in reading, writing, and math.
In the coming months, the coalition will continue their collaboration to identify promising practices that improve equity and advances CCMR by growing leadership, funding, advocacy, and refining systemic structures. Central Texas school districts that wish to join the coalition, please contact Priscilla Flores, Impact Network Coordinator.
