We have teamed up with The Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin to take Texas Senate Bill 2124 into practice.
“The Dana Center has the skills to build concepts and knowledge while our focus is on effective systems. This entails course access, alignment, and asset-framed messaging,” explained Jennifer Cavazos Saenz, E3’s senior director of communications and policy.
This work debuts for East Texas schools this month thanks to TLL Temple Foundation funding.
We are also working with the Texas Impact Network on training modules for its school partners.
“By joining forces, more schools can lead the advanced math charge for improved access and outcomes with fidelity,” said Lori Davis, E3’s Chief Transformation Officer.
We also coordinated with the Texas Education Agency to help support SB 2124 rulemaking in March.
Our follow-up webinar is now available online. An E3-developed needs assessment will help districts navigate the implementation process.
Districts must roll out the opt-out policy for the fall 2024 school year.
