Position Description 

The purpose of this role is to foster and strengthen client and partner relationships in Central Texas and support the geographic reach of E3’s education supports and services beyond Central Texas to make them available throughout the state.

Communications Coordinator

Classification: Full-time Employee
Direct Supervisor: Director of Communications, Marketing and Community Engagement 

Position Description 

The Communications Coordinator will be an active team player in the Communications Department at E3 Alliance. We’re looking for someone who believes rhetoric matters and that words, images, data, and effective collaboration can change the world. The Communications Coordinator will plan and support external events, write, edit and post electronic content and maintain other written materials on the E3 website. In addition, they will promote the E3 Alliance through the media, public relations, and multiple social media channels. The Coordinator will be passionate about equity in education no matter a student’s skin color, neighborhood, family income, or identity and will support effective communications to help achieve the E3 Alliance mission of changing education systems to help all students succeed. We are looking for a skilled communicator who can take data, research, and innovative ideas and create content for varied audiences, including Superintendents, policymakers, parents, and students. This role reports to the Director of Communications and will work closely with other E3 staff.

Collective Impact/ Policy Intern

Classification: Full Time Internship, 400 hours 10 weeks from May to August
Direct Supervisor: Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives & Continuous Improvement  

Position Description 

This internship is part of E3 Alliance’s Collective Impact Practice. The intern and will work closely with our Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives & Continuous Improvement to work on: 

  • Writing and disseminating policy briefs 
  • Develop collateral surrounding our data and policy recommendations to inform and guide education conversations and decisions this upcoming session 
  • Brainstorm, identify and plan legislative events to push our data that supports our policy recommendations 
  • Further develop relationships with Central TX legislators  

E3 Alliance is looking for someone who understands the legislative and education landscape in Texas, who is innovative and will help with creating awareness and credibility surrounding our data and work to improve student outcomes, and has a passion for strengthen relationships and improving student outcomes. While hours per week can be flexible depending on job needs and availability of candidate, it is expected that an average of 35-40 hours per week will be required but some weeks may be much more or less time intensive than others.
