Established in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin’s first institution of higher learning and only Historical Black College and University (HBCU). Their students are brilliant, resourceful, resilient, and bold. Nearly 40% of students are the first in their families to attend college – 65% Black; 26% Latino; and 73% depend on federal funding to pay for their undergraduate studies.

Huston-Tillotson University’s greatest opportunity for sustainability at this time is to increase their support fund to help students, faculty, staff, and operational needs impacted by COVID-19. Please support Huston-Tillotson University’s COVID-19 Support Fund by donating here.
