Austin, TX – E3 Alliance has recently received two grants from the KDK-Harman Foundation. The first is a $45,000 operating grant to support the operations of E3 Alliance in rolling out The Blueprint for Educational Change. This is the third year in a row that E3 Alliance has received a support grant from KDK-Harman.
“We are excited to receive this support from the KDK-Harman Foundation,” said Susan Dawson, executive director of the E3 Alliance. “This work will allow our region to be at the forefront of creating a better aligned educational pipeline that improves outcomes for every student, and at the same time provides them pathways to jobs that strengthen our regional economy.”
In addition, KDK-Harman, an instrumental investor and leader, along with E3 Alliance, have garnered collaborative support from multiple Central Texas funders in the “RAISEup Texas” effort to drive the transformation of middle school teaching and learning across six school districts, including Austin ISD, Eanes ISD, Hays CISD, Leander ISD, Round Rock ISD, and San Marcos CISD.
“We are always looking for high-impact opportunities to break the cycle of poverty through education,” Janet Harman, Founder and President of the KDK-Harman Foundation stated. “It’s important to look beyond the individual student to systematically and strategically build a stronger pipeline that spans institutions and districts. That is why KDK chose to partner with the E3 Alliance in this collaborative approach.”
Strong programs in middle school will assist in creating stronger graduating students that are college and career ready.  Bringing all the players to the table to better articulate programs, curriculum, and transitions will help students go further and ultimately lead to a stronger workforce.
