E3 Alliance hosted the inaugural Central Texas Attendance Summit on October 16, 2017. There were over 14 districts that brought teams to learn about local attendance research, data and continuous improvement tools. Teams received their chronic absence bright spot data, completed a needs assessment and used their data to create a targeted action plan for their school.
E3 Alliance will use feedback from the Summit to drive future attendance work to include:

  • Development of a webinar that provides common definitions and tiered strategies to improve attendance
  • Piloting a Success Mentors Initiative focused on chronically absent students based on school interest
  • Designing a Peer Learning Network to support continuous improvement processes focused on attendance in the region

We look forward to hosting the 2nd annual Central Texas Attendance Summit in 2018.
